Hypnosis is a serious therapeutic technique, as well as a pleasant and calming experience, and you’ll be delighted when you realize that it can help you transform yourself.
It has been described as “the most potent nonpharmacological relaxing agent known to science.”
During hypnosis, you will be guided into a deep state of relaxation, into the brainwave state of Theta, right there on the threshold of sleep where behaviors, thoughts and ideas are stored and change can be made. In this state of heightened mental alertness and diminished physical movement, you are open to receive the suggestions for change.
At Norman Health Systems, I use Binaural Beats to help quiet the mind and allow the relaxation to take place even quicker than by using hypnosis alone. These beats are also in the background of each of your recordings. You may not even hear them, as they are not meant for the conscious mind but the subconscious.
You would never do anything under hypnosis that you wouldn’t do when wide awake and conscious. You may have seen movies or television programs that have said differently; however, we must remember these movies and programs are for entertainment purposes only. Here at Norman Health Systems, my goal is to give you the tools to meet your goals for your health and well-being.
The more you practice hypnosis, the deeper and faster you will enter the Theta state. It can be different each time you enter into hypnosis. There may be times when you feel light, almost like you are floating; other times you may feel very heavy, like you couldn’t move even if you wanted to. Sometimes you may feel that you hear all of what is said consciously; other times you feel you didn’t hear anything at all. Just remember, we are not speaking to the conscious mind, but to the subconscious mind. You can just relax, follow the voice of the hypnotist, and enjoy the journey.
What Are Binaural Beats?
My hypnotic recordings are enhanced with binaural beats.
A binaural beat is an auditory illusion perceived when two different pure-tone sine waves occur, both with frequencies lower than 1500 Hz, with less than a 40 Hz difference between them, with one tone through each ear. For example, if a 530 Hz pure tone is presented to a subject’s right ear, while a 520 Hz pure tone is presented to the subject’s left ear, the listener will perceive the auditory illusion of a third tone, in addition to the two pure-tones presented to each ear. The third sound is called a binaural beat, and in this example, it would have a perceived pitch correlating to a frequency of 10 Hz, that being the difference between the 530 Hz and 520 Hz pure tones presented to each ear.
What are the benefits of binaural beats?
A feeling of well-being is listed among the most noticeable advantages of binaural beats. Many clients have reported a more positive and happy feeling after each 20-30-minute session, and motivation often increases as well.
When you utilize binaural beats, you’ll likely experience POWERFUL positive emotions and feelings including excitement, peace and happiness.
These happen without any effort on your part and tend to alternate with each session. You’ll feel better after every session.
